Ventilating Dehumidification

There are certain times of the year in the fall, winter, and spring, when your air conditioning system does not need to cool your home. There are certain times of the year in the fall, winter, and spring, when your air conditioning system does not need to cool your home. While idle, your system is not performing its other job…dehumidification. Your indoor humidity will rise due to our living inside, and high outdoor humidity.

Above 55% indoor humidity, your pillows will feel damp, the air in your home will begin to smell musty, moisture will condense on the inside of windows, and dust mites begin to proliferate. Mold and mildew begins to take hold of your home, and begin the onset of allergies, and negative reactions to mold. Some homeowners attempt to reduce their indoor humidity by lowering the temperature setting on their thermostat but find the setting makes it too cold with minimal humidity reduction. If this sounds familiar, there is a better and more effective solution to this problem: Ventilating Dehumidifiers.

Ventilating dehumidifiers serve two purposes. They dehumidify your entire home, and they ventilate by bringing in fresh outdoor air. As your air conditioner is controlled by a thermostat, a ventilating dehumidifier is controlled by a centrally located dehumidistat. Connected to your duct system, these dehumidifiers provide a controlled amount dry air to each room of your home until it is dehumidified the dehumidistat cycles it off.

These dehumidifiers are quiet, and operate independently of your air conditioning and heating system. You will no longer need to fight your thermostat and make your air conditioner operate when it is not needed.

Heating

Although the Florida Panhandle is in the southern portion of the country, our area still gets winter weather that cannot be ignored. There’s something about our high humidity that when mixed with a brisk cold front, makes living without a functioning heating system downright miserable! Just ask our Snowbirds that “winter” here from up north, and they’ll agree.

As we are primarily a cooling region, most of our heating sources are tied in with our air conditioning systems, and are either natural gas furnaces, or electric heat pumps. It is important that your heating system, as well as the ductwork that serves it, is operating at peak efficiency, and sized properly to eliminate needless utility overpayment.

System Replacement

Scheduled before the onset of the approaching winter and summer seasons, our Planned Service Maintenance is designed to identify problems and eliminate them before they interrupt your comfort and your schedule. Why not rely on our Planned Service Maintenance so you can stay comfortable year-round?

Our Planned Service Maintenance agreement is not a contract. It is an agreement between our company and you to coordinate, call, and schedule when it’s time for your service. This agreement can be cancelled anytime with no obligation whatsoever. We only accept payment upon the satisfactory completion of our service.
